Portable Google Earth is a complete three-dimensional interactive atlas. The first thing you see when you open it will be a globe, a world map by which to move the mouse. The search box on the left will take you on a smooth flight to the place you choose.
Layers are the big attraction of Google Earth. Each one adds satellite images to an enormous amount of information, road networks, buildings in three dimensions, traffic and weather, places interest and even photographs of the streets in cities where Street View available.
Not everything is exploring aimlessly. Google Earth can save images and markers on the network share, and print whatever you're watching.
